LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The Highview community came together for a special event Friday night at Highview Park.
The park was the site of the Friday Fest Concert Series. The series is a free event open to the public with music and food. The entertainment opened up with the Fort Knox Dragons.
This is one of six scheduled events hosted by Councilman James Peeden, the Metro Parks Department and Oak Street Production Group.
“I think it’s really great because you get to see who your community is. See who lives around you and get to know neighbors. So, I think it’s really great that they do this kind of stuff for us,” said visitor Suzanne Powell.
The next Friday Fest is August 24.
